Part 2!
Time to make money!
The important part… making some money from your site! Sign up to Amazon Associates, this is a good starting point for beginners. Amazon is a known and trusted brand so it is one of the easiest places to start with. In time you will want to sign up to the main Affiliate Networks, these are companies that manage similar programs for people like Argos, Dixons and anyone else! Check out AffiliateWindow* and Commission Junction to begin with. AffiliateWindow does ask for £5 to verify your sign up, but you DO get it back.
Introduction
What is affiliate marketing? AM is a business model whereby you can promote products from places such as Amazon, eBay or Credit Cards on your own website. You get a small fee each time you refer someone. MSE is a great example of AM done well, the site gets a small fee every time you click on one of their starred links*. A good AM site will provide a positive user experience whilst earning its commissions. Can you make any money from this? Yes. But be realistic. It takes work to build up a site. Sure, some people have “got lucky” but for most of us it will take time and commitment and finding the right niche.
Many thanks to Angela_2107 for this guide on how she gets work on People Per hour. It’s a good read so if you can take the time to read through it we might all learn something
Any questions and i’m sure she will be happy to answer them.
People Per Hour is an outsourcing website that allows people to trade skills in order for payment.. i.e. it allows people who need work doing to post the ‘project’ and it allows people with the skills to ‘bid’ on the project.
The site works in an ebay like fashion in regards to the fact that you can earn feedback, this is quite important when trading your skills with prospective clients – although it is not the be all and end all. You can also import feedback, so if you have left a job you can ask your last employer to give you feedback on there…I would imagine some SB forum members ie Supers can give feedback for ACPs that work for them…
This guide was written by JarvisUK from our forum.
It gives an insight of how to keep your computer + network running smoothly.
Thanks to Jarvisuk for this suggestion.
It does makes sense to have a how to section on the site , with discussion in the forums.
One of the top threads so far this week.
Ever had any slips whilst speaking to the customers?
I won’t spoil the fun, just have a read (and chuckle) here!
Coming soon..
In the meanwhile, check out the forums here
